EnlacesInformation for local authoritiesCLIPMATraining course for municipal climate protection managers in Central Europe Energy CitiesEnergy Cities is the European Association of local authorities in energy transition. The association created in 1990 represents now more than 1,000 towns and cities in 30 countries. Covenant of MayorsThe Covenant of Mayors is the mainstream European movement involving local and regional authorities, voluntarily committing to increasing energy efficiency and use of renewable energy sources on their territories. By their commitment, Covenant signatories aim to meet and exceed the European Union 20% CO2 reduction objective by 2020. SEAP plusSEAP-PLUS assists and contributes in the successful implementation of the Covenant of Mayors – inter alia - by promoting and obtaining the adhesion of more Local and Regional Authorities to the Covenant of Mayors – as Signatories and Supporting Structures respectively, and helping in the submission of more and better Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAP) Net-comNET-COM is a European initiative boosting the Covenant of Mayors at national level by creating Covenant Clubs and promoting creative networking strategies. In other words, the project aims at empowering local authorities (at both political and administrative levels) to implement successfully their current (or future) Covenant engagements. Thus NET-COM directly supports the EU's Energy and Climate Package targets. MountEEThe project « MountEE – Energy-efficient and sustainable building in municipalities in European mountain regions » aims to initiate and support a major transformation in the building sector in European mountain municipalities (in Sweden, the Alps and the Pyrenees) in order to achieve the ambitious vision of the EU for the energy performance in buildings.and to help them meet their long-term objectives and transform them into front runners. Project activities include 25 – 30 pilot projects (new buildings or renovation) that will be realised in 6 pilot regions with the "sustainable building" service package in place which will help builders to plan, implement and evaluate new Nearly Zero Energy Buildings. In addition to this the project will oganise capacity building activities: workshops, conferences, excursions for decision makers, builders, planners and other key actors in the building chain as well as it will encourage private and public funding institutions to improve funding criteria. MountEE will help them to adapt existing funding frameworks in order to improve toward Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB) and renovation. SustainCoSustainco (Sustainable Energy for Rural Communities) supports the ambitious European vision for the energy performance of buildings, that by 2020 all new buildings should be Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB). The project aims to build capacity within the partner countries through a range of services including promotion of best practice examples, supporting integrated approaches to design and retrofitting of buildings and supporting engagement in the Covenant of Mayors in rural regions. Information for building professionalsMaTrIDMaTrID aims at supporting the implementation of Nearly Zero Energy Buildings by 2020. In this context the building design phase is of particular importance. Integrated Design (ID) in general is a valuable approach to reduce the complexity of the design process and facilitates the interactions between the members of the design team. ID allows them to provide the best solution for the whole building. It is not limited to energy efficiency and goes beyond this issue. The greatest benefits are provided only if applied in the earliest stages of the project, when changes to the design are still easy to implement. The benefit of EU collaboration is to cross-pollinate best practices among leading European countries (including clients, private industry, etc.). Knowledge transfer among Europe and various actors is the main benefit of MaTrID. For detailed information please visit www.integrateddesign.eu. Build up PlatformThe BUILD UP web portal is intended to reap the benefits of Europe's collective intelligence on energy reduction in buildings for all relevant audiences. It will bring together new practitioners and professional associations while motivating them to exchange best working practices and knowledge and to transfer tools and resources. Austrian KlimaaktivprogrammeEfficient energy consumption, intelligent mobility, future orientated buildings and the use of renewable energy are the main tasks to protect our climate and to reduce the greenhouse gases. klima:aktiv offers information and consultancy, works on quality standards and helps to build up networks for our climate friendly future. Repowermaprepowermap.org is an initiative to promote renewable energies and energy efficiency by showing real-world examples and related local information in each person's neighbourhood. Have you installed a renewable energy system or have you constructed an energy efficient building? Add your example to the map to make it visible and inspire others to take action as well - each example counts! Information for policy makersENTRANZEPolicies to ENforce the TRAnsition to Nearly Zero-Energy buildings in Europe - The objective of the ENTRANZE project is to actively support policy making by providing the required data, analysis and guidelines to achieve a fast and strong penetration of nZEB and RES-H/C within the existing national building stocks. The project intends to connect building experts from European research and academia to national decision makers and key stakeholders with a view to build ambitious, but reality proof, policies and roadmaps. |
